Why "Today's" Ward 5?
After the last redistricting process, Ward 5 covers Central, Downtown, Midtown, Kinsman and Slavic Village.
Rebecca is a proud resident of Today's Ward 5.
During the campaign, we’ll be focused on calling it "Today’s Ward 5" instead of the "New Ward 5" because we want to acknowledge that many residents of this ward are not new to it. Although the ward has thousands of new residents across Downtown and Slavic Village, Ward 5 still has the Central neighborhood at its core. It’s the Carl & Louis Stokes Ward and the Lonnie Burten Ward. We plan to spend this campaign honoring Ward 5’s history at the same time that we fight for its future.
